'Made In Ontario' Box Closes Today
Grand River Raceway has issued a reminder that the entry box closes this morning at 11:00 a.m. for the fourth annual Made In Ontario night. The event is presented in conjunction with the Regional Driving Championship on Monday, October 20.
Made In Ontario night will feature eight $18,000 dashes for Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) Grassroots starters that did not draw into the OSS semi-finals. Preference is given to the highest point-earners in the OSS Grassroots series. The Ontario Harness Horse Association (OHHA) will present a trophy cooler to the winner of each Made In Ontario race.
Entries for Made In Ontario must be declared by Thursday, October 16 at 11:00 a.m. by calling (519) 846-1106 or (519) 846-1107.

The card also features nine of the province's top drivers in the Ontario Regional Driving Championship. The reinsmen will vie for a berth in the national competition at Fraser Downs and the World Driving Championship, hosted by Norway in 2009.

Whether on-track or watching from afar, race fans will share the limelight during the Ontario Regional Driving Championship at Grand River Raceway this Monday night with the chance to enter a pair of contests.
Driven To Win
Cash and prizes of nearly $1,500 are offered to on-track fans in the Driven To Win Contest on Monday night.
Patrons will support their favourite contender by signing up with a team captain representing each of the nine drivers in the lobby between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. After each of the eight championship races, one Driven To Win team mate is drawn by their winning driver to collect a prize pack valued at $100.
The top two ranking drivers at the end of the championship advance to the national competition, and one Driven To Win team mate is drawn for each driver to share $500.
Driver Q&A
Submit a question for your favourite driver in Monday's Ontario Regional Driving Championship at Grand River Raceway, and you could win championship tour swag.
Driver Q&A will be conducted in the winner's circle at the start of the Tarmac Show (7:05 p.m.). One submitted question will be posed to each of the drivers. If your question is used, Grand River Raceway will mail you an official driving championship tour t-shirt.
