Logan Park Gate-To-Wire In Mohawk Preferred
Logan Park took the fastest way around the track on Monday evening (June 3) at Woodbine Mohawk Park as the pacesetter and victor in the $36,000 Preferred Trot.
Doug McNair and Kyle Fellows once again teamed up to send the gelding to the gate, this time in post three in the field of six feature trotters. McNair pointed Logan Park towards the top and with a 1-1/2-length cushion throughout the mile, he handled the timer in panels of :27.2, :56.2 and 1:25.1. Uncontested on the way home, Logan Park strolled to a comfortable 2-3/4-length triumph in 1:51.2. Gaines Hanover (Sylvain Filion) finished second with Fashion Frenzie (Louis-Philippe Roy) completing the triactor.
Owned by Outofthepark Stable, Reg Higgs and Arpad Szabo, Logan Park (Archangel - Rite Outa The Park) won his third race in four appearances in his six-year-old campaign. In 68 career starts, the O'Brien Award winner has banked $1,132,192 to go along with a record of 27-9-4. He returned $2.80 to win.
