P.E.I. Colt Stakes Graduate Series - 2024
Maritime Foaled or Maritime Sired Four, Five, and Six-Year-Old Horses and Mares
Gold Division: For winners of over $50,000 life as of Dec. 31, 2023.
Grassroots Division: For Non winners of $50,000 life as of Dec. 31, 2023.
Gold Division: $13,000
Grassroots Division: $9,500
$100 For Gold Series, $50 for Grassroot Series.
No Starting Fee in any Leg or Final.
Nomination fees due Friday, July 19, 2024 by 12:00 p.m.
1. All events and race conditions will be conducted under the rules and regulations of the
Atlantic Provinces Harness Racing Commission and Standardbred Canada.
2. Declarations close at the time and date posted on the weekly condition sheet.
3. All races will be at a distance of 1 mile unless otherwise stated.
4. All starting positions shall be drawn electronically using the electronic draw system
provided by Standardbred Canada.
5. Purse distribution:
a. 5 or more starters: 50 — 25 — 12 — 8 — 5%;
b. 4 starters: 50 — 25 — 15 —10%;
c. 3 starters: 60 — 30 — 10%;
d. 2 starters: 65 — 35%;
e. 1 starter: 100%.
6. Minimum of six (6) entries required to fill this series. Separate divisions will be held for
mares and horses/geldings in all legs and Final.
7. Finalists will be determined by money earned in preliminary legs. The top nine (9)
money earners from the legs will race in the Final. In the event of a tie, the entry will be
selected by lot.
8. Red Shores reserves the right to make any changes to conditions and schedule they
deem fit.
9. All owners, trainers, drivers must be members in good standing with the APHRC and
Standardbred Canada.
10. All horses must meet the qualifying standards of Red Shores and the Atlantic
Standardbred Breeders Association.
11. Should there be horses with common ownership; Red Shores reserves the right to
uncouple horses for pari-mutuel purposes as per APHRC Rule 206.
12. If there is more than one division of the preliminary legs or eliminations, each division
will race for 100% of the advertised purse.
13. Red Shores accepts no responsibility or liability for any accident, loss or damage,
which may occur on their property as a result of these, or any races.
