It Takes Two Victorious In London Preferred Pace
It Takes Two and Lorne House teamed up to pocket the victory in the featured $11,600 Preferred Handicap Pace at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Monday, April 8 for trainer Scott McNiven.
P L Oliver (Colin Kelly) took command of the timer through panels in :27.2, :57.3 and 1:25.4 with It Takes Two stalking his lead from the pocket. In the stretch, It Takes Two inched out to prevail by a nose in 1:54.3. Taylors Credit (Garrett Rooney) grabbed third.
It Takes Two (Artspeak-Shellace) is a four-year-old gelding owned by Kimberley McNiven and Bradley Douglas. He had his career-best season last year, winning nine races in 37 starts. This year, he has sought new levels with already seven wins in 13 starts and $42,622 of his $113,621 bankroll earned. As the bettors' choice, he returned $4.70 to win.
