Linda Rainey Announced At Hall Of Fame

The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame is pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Rainey as Hall of Fame Co-ordinator. Rainey begins her duties effective immediately

.

Rainey has an extensive background in event management, strategy, advertising, and marketing. In the role of co-ordinator she will act as the public face of the organization and be responsible for managing the strategic and financial direction of the Hall as well as its day-to-day operations.

In addition to her business background, Rainey is a long-time fan of horse racing and has had a personal interest and lifelong involvement with standardbred horses. Growing up in Orono, Ont., her father raced a few trotters and also showed road horses.

Of her involvement with horses, Rainey said, “Anyone who has had the opportunity to spend time with horses knows they get in your blood. As an adult, I have returned to my roots by getting involved in the Canadian Road Horse Association where I currently hold the position of First Vice President, utilizing my professional skills to help advance the awareness of Road Horses as an alternate use of standardbred trotters once their race careers have concluded.”

Rainey also shows road horses at fairs and horse shows throughout southern Ontario.
