Hambletonian Society Stakes Payments Due April 15

Sylvia Hanover

The Hambletonian Society reminds horsepeople that sustaining payments are due on April 15 for many stakes races currently administered by the Society.

Payment forms are always available on the Hambletonian Society website at hambletonian.com or by calling the Society's office for fax and email options. All the forms on the website are PDF fillable. Just type right in the form, print as many as you need and return the form with the payments.

Along with cheques, the Society is accepting credit cards as a form of payment for any stakes payments. All credit card payments are subject to a three per sent service fee, which will be added to the payment total.

In April, sustaining payments are due for several of the stakes that the Society services. Previous payments were required to maintain eligibility for all of the races that have payments due this month. Below are the races which have a payment due this April (broken down by division):

  • Two-Year-Olds: Breeders Crown #38, The Elevation, Kentuckiana Stallion Management Pace/Trot, Madison County, Matron Series, Peter Haughton and Jim Doherty.
  • Three-Year-Olds: Breeders Crown #37, Carl Erskine, Delmonica Hanover, Earl Beal Memorial, James Lynch Memorial, Jennas Beach Boy, Matron Series, Max Hempt Memorial and Monument Circle
  • Open Horses: Breeders Crown #36, Caesars Trotting Classic, Dan Patch, Dayton Pacing & Trotting Derbies and the Dayton Distaff & Oaks Derbies

The above races all have similar conditions and payment schedules as they did in 2023. The condition sheets for each race can be found on the specific race page set up for that race on the Society's website.

To make it more convenient, eligibility lists can be emailed to those nominators who provide the Society their e-mail address and request these lists. Eligibility lists are always available on the Society's website.

For further information or to update your status on the Society's mailing list, call the office at 609-371-2211 or email stakes manager Nadia Tarnawa at [email protected].
