Meadowlands Announces April Events
Meadowlands Racetrack has an event-filled April in addition to racing that takes place every Friday and Saturday night with a 6:20 p.m. post.
On Saturday, April 6, Peter Grandich will kick the night off with his sponsored hockey night. He is bringing New York Rangers great Ron Greschner, two-time Stanley Cup champion Grant Marshall and Philadelphia Flyers fan favourite Chris Therien, who will be signing autographs and posing for selfies in the Clubhouse Lobby from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Also on April 6, Executive Chef Chris Burnett is hosting “Dinner in the Dark.” This unique dining experience allows guests to fully immerse themselves and their taste buds in each course by being blindfolded when first served. Each course is paired by a hand-selected wine to enhance the meal. This special dinner is just $69.95 USD and includes a live racing program and $10 betting voucher.
The rescheduled $5,000 handicapping contest also takes place on April 6. There is no entry fee ($100 live money bankroll required) for players and the prize pool is a guaranteed $5,000 – fully funded by the Meadowlands Racetrack. Players must register/check-in at the Clubhouse Lobby by 6:20 p.m. A $100 betting card is required to participate in this live money/wagering contest.
On Saturday, April 13, the popular PastMasters return to the track. The show starts at 7 p.m. in Trackside and admission is free.
Also on April 13, UFC fans can come out and meet UFC Welterweight Champion Leon Edwards. Fans can grab a selfie from 8 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. in the Gallery before UFC 300.
New for 2024 is the Misfit Market on Saturday, April 20. Misfit Market will be a cool shopping experience featuring sports collectibles, comic books, vintage clothes, toys, sneakers, pop culture, collectibles and much more. Plus, there will be tons of different activities as well, including live ISPW Pro Wrestling matches and meet and greets with UFC legend Don Frye, New York Giants Super Bowl champ Stephen Baker and former New York Rangers Nick Fotiu and Matthew Barnaby.
The track closes out the month with a fusion pairing dinner and another Comedy Night on Saturday, April 27. The five-course Nikkei dinner consists of Peruvian ingredients prepared with Japanese techniques. The dinner is $69.95 USD and includes a live racing program and $10 betting voucher. The Comedy Night is hosted by the Heavyset Comedy duo of Travis Przybylski and Rory Lutz.
