Hippodrome De Quebec Ramping Up
Standardbreds will be back on the racing surface at Hippodrome de Quebec starting this week, probably for the last time
.
The Quebec City track is due to be available for training daily as of today (Wednesday, March 21), although horsemen are advised to call Denis Normandin a day ahead to make sure at 581-999-4977.
Qualifying sessions will be held Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. in preparation for the start of the 10-day meet on March 31. The track will present live cards Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. through to the end of April, after which the property will be claimed by the new Quebec City arena.
Highlighting the meet are series for Quebec-bred trotters and pacers aged four and five, who’ll face off in finals worth $15,000.
