Fighting Evil Sails To Meadows Feature Win
Fighting Evil grabbed the lead with a powerful first-over move, then sailed through the slop to capture her second straight victory in Thursday’s (Feb. 22) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $16,351 filly and mare conditioned pace.
Hammered down to 4-5, Fighting Evil was a patient third down the backside when Ronnie Wrenn Jr. tipped her off the cones to attack the leader, Arrhythmic Dream. The six-year-old daughter of Sweet Lou-Evil Fight gobbled up that rival and drew off, scoring by 3-1/2 lengths in 1:52. Jillian B Miki and Day To Party completed the ticket.
Jack Smith trains Fighting Evil, who extended her career bankroll to $251,862, for Shannon Depinto and Howard Taylor.
The victory was one of four wins for Wrenn on the 13-race card.
Live harness racing at The Meadows continues on Friday, Feb. 23, with first post at 12:45 p.m.
