Timewaitsonnoone Keeps Win Streak Alive
Five-year-old pacing mare Timewaitsonnoone kept her win streak alive at Flamboro Downs, prevailing by a neck in her latest assignment on Saturday, Feb. 17 for trainer Gerard Demers.
Timewaitsonnoone and driver Scott Coulter have been a winning combination in the $8,000 claiming ranks, winning five consecutive races. After sharing the win in a dead heat last time out, Timewaitsonnoone had another close call but eked out the victory in a new season's mark of 1:58.1. After getting away mid-field, she tracked the cover of last week's co-winner Darlin Dallecktrah through the final lap before rallying outside that rival into the stretch and prevailing in a three-across finish over Fern Hill Bella, who shot through the passing lane off a pocket trip, and the persistent pacesetter A Sham Of Amber. Timewaitsonnoone paid $3.40 to win as the 3-5 favourite.
The Royal Mattjesty-Chardonnay mare has been racing from the Demers stable since she was claimed for $10,500 last September at Grand River Raceway by owner La Ferme Tag Inc. Lifetime, she has won 22 of her 60 starts while earning $76,058.
