Fresh off a four and a half length romp in overnight action at Flamboro Downs over a week ago, Western Fair regular Hi Maintenancechic gained confidence to wire her Preferred foes this time out. J. Bradley Harris sent the Blissfull Hall-Rebeccas Filly mare, who hadn't won at the Fair since her first four-year-old start on Jan. 11, to the lead from Post 4 and cruised past fractions of :28.1, :58.2, and 1:27 before tripping the teletimer in 1:56 flat. Thatll Be Franny (Nick Steward) finished one length behind off a pocket trip and Victim Of Love (Alfred Carroll) rounded out the top three finishers.
Hi Maintenancechic paid $35.60 for the upset. Sue Marie Gangell trains the winner of three races in 10 starts and nearly $25,500 this year for owner John Devito of Whitestone, New York. Lifetime, Hi Maintenancechic has won seven times while banking $156,393.
