I Get It Scores In Dover Open Trot
I Get It got the job done with a 1:55.3 win in Tuesday’s (Feb. 13) featured $21,622 Winners Over Trot at Bally’s Dover.
I Get It left quickest off the starting gate and forced Manatlas into the pocket through a :27.4 opening quarter. I Get It continued confidently on the lead through a :57.2 half before Darbyshire advanced first-over up the backstretch to push three-quarters to 1:26, towing Cant Say No in the outer flow. Turning for home, Last Glow circled three-wide off third-over cover and Rose Run Xtra rushed up the pylons, but I Get It won by a measured length, giving Tim Tetrick his fourth driving win on the night. Last Glow finished second and Rose Run Xtra was third.
Scott DiDomenico trains I Get It, an eight-year-old gelded son of Dontyouforgetit who paid $3.40 to win, for Triple D Stables and Michael Rekoon.
In Wednesday’s Mares Winners Over/Select Pace, Southwind Icenfire seeks her third consecutive win. First post is 4:30 p.m.
