Chatting With A 'Decent' Pair Of Drivers
One of the silver linings that came from the winter storm that snowed in those attending the 2023 O'Brien Awards in Prince Edward Island this past weekend was literally running into people with time on their hands and a willingness to chat.
Before Hall of Famers Doug Brown and Bill O'Donnell returned safely home from their extended stay in P.E.I., they sat down for an impromptu and informal chat with O'Briens Red Carpet co-host John Rallis on Monday afternoon at the Delta by Marriott Prince Edward.
Brown and O'Donnell were among a number of horsepeople that left P.E.I. on Tuesday morning, the first flight back to Toronto since the black tie awards gala concluded on Saturday, Feb. 3. That flight also included 2023 Trainer of the Year Dr. Ian Moore, 2023 Future Star Award winner Cassidy Schneider, Armstrong Breeder of the Year David Heffering, three-time Keith Waples Driver of the Year James MacDonald, drivers Jody Jamieson and Louis-Philippe Roy, trainers David Menary and Brett Lester, as well as their respective entourages.
