Northville Set For 2024 Opener
Northville Downs, which opened in 1944, kicks off its 80th anniversary of operations this Friday, Jan. 5.
Northville will race 10 days from Jan. 5, 2024 through and including Feb. 3. Racing will be conducted every Friday and Saturday during this time frame except the third weekend of January when Northville will race Thursday, Jan. 18 and Friday, Jan. 19 to accommodate horsemen and women for the MHHA Banquet, which will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20. First race post time each race night will be 7 p.m.
Opening night features a strong program with 10 races on tap including the co-featured $14,211 Open Trot and the $14,211 Fillies and Mares Open Pace.
Northville Downs will continue to offer their ever popular dollar night at The Ville during each Friday live race night with $1 pop, live programs and popcorn, $2 hot dogs and beer and hamburger and cheeseburger specials.
Full card simulcasting from the best harness and Thoroughbred tracks across the country will continue to be available seven days and nights each week from noon to midnight.
As Northville kicks off its final racing season at The Ville, all employees, horsemen and women and any fans and patrons who enjoyed their last trip to Northville are welcome back to enjoy themselves for one final time as Northville bids goodbye to Michigan’s pioneer harness racetrack in its 80th and final year.
