Boudoir Hanover Breezes In Dover Open
Boudoir Hanover circled three-wide in the stretch and drew away to win the $32,895 Mares Open Handicap Pace at Bally’s Dover on Wednesday night (Jan. 3).
Majorca N left alertly at the start of the race. Tae accepted the pocket and Incaseyoudidntknow was parked to the quarter in :26.3. The 1-2 betting favourite, Boudoir Hanover, left from post eight and found a seat in fifth racing to the quarter.
Incaseyoudidntknow was committed to the front and led the field to the half in :55.4. Feeling Sweet raced first-up down the backstretch. Boudoir Hanover shadowed second-over on the rim. Incaseyoudidntknow and Feeling Sweet battled to the three-quarters in 1:24, a :28.1 panel.
At the top of the stretch, Boudoir Hanover circled three-wide and powered to the top to win by a length and three-quarters in 1:51.2. She paced the final quarter in :27.2. She paid $3 for the win. Incaseyoudidntknow cut the mile and finished second. Majorca N found room late to finish third.
Boudoir Hanover (Captaintreacherous-Bedroomconfessions) is owned by Riverview Racing, Alagna Racing, Caviart Farms, D Plouffe And S Head. Tony Alagna trains the five-year-old mare and Tim Tetrick drove.
The feature race on Thursday's (Jan. 4) card is the Blue Hen Open Handicap Pace. I Did It Myway will be searching for his fourth consecutive win while Belmont Royale N and Mack hope to play the spoilers. Post time at Bally’s Dover on Thursday is 4:30 p.m.
