Roll Em, No Plan Intended Set To Duel Sunday

Harness racing at Charlottetown Driving Park

Roll Em is back on red soil and ready to take on the Sunday afternoon feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The capital oval has a 13-dash presentation started at 12:30 p.m., with the $3,800 Preferred Pace hitting the track in race 12.

No Plan Intended is the morning line favourite from post four after winning this class his last three starts. Jason Hughes is in the sulky for trainer Jennifer Doyle and owner Danny Birt of Vernon Bridge, P.E.I. The five-year-old son of Up The Credit has scored seven victories in 2023 including a 1:53 flat season’s best at Red Shores Summerside.

Roll Em gets the outside post five as he returns to the Brent Campbell barn in Orwell, P.E.I. after a short stint in Ontario. The trainer co-owns the pacer with Brady Doyle, Rylan MacLeod and Savage Stable, and Marc Campbell drives the five-year-old son of Time To Roll.

Blood Money has rail control in the class with Gilles Barrieau back in the bike behind the stallion son of Sweet Lou for trainer Ron Matheson and owner Dr. Mitchell Downey of Saint John, N.B.

Island Beach Boy is the post two entry from the Tom Weatherbie barn. Brodie MacPhee drives the 19-time winner for owners Ian Smith and Arnold Hagen.

Middleton Terror completes the field with post three for trainer-driver David Dowling and owners Kingsley Walsh and Frank Balcom.

The Post Time Picks will side with Roll Em on top: “Roll Em didn’t have much luck in Ontario but was up against some top-notch competition. Makes the trek back to P.E.I. and he’s been very successful here so expect him to return to his winning ways.”
