Drivers' Holiday Challenge Set For Sunday
The fourth Annual Drivers' Holiday Challenge in support of Toys for Tots is all set to go this coming Sunday, Dec. 10 at The Raceway at the Western Fair District in London, Ont. It will be a Team MacDonald vs. Team Borth format this time around, with 10 races carded.
Team Borth features Tyler Borth, Dan Clements, Garrett Rooney and Daryl Thiessen. Team MacDonald sports James MacDonald, Paul MacKenzie, Natasha Day and Jason Ryan.
MacDonald and Borth currently hold down the first and second spots in the Canadian driver win standings for 2023.
Point System:
- 15 points (first place), 10 (second), seven (third), five (fourth), four (fifth), three (sixth), two (seventh), and one (eighth).
- In the event of a scratch or if the driver is not listed, driver receives five points.
- In the event of a dead heat, both (or all) drivers receive points (points for the dead heat position and the next position are added together and divided equally among the drivers concerned).
- If a horse is disqualified, or a horse and driver fail to complete a race, they will receive one point.
COSA TV will be on hand with a broadcasting team consisting of host Mark McKelvie along with Chris Christoforou, Bob McClure and Robert Reid Jr. They will cover the full race program, which gets underway at 12:55 p.m.
