The Great Reset Tops Tuesday At Western Fair
The Great Reset was piloted to victory by his trainer, Lorne House, in the featured $9,000 conditioned trot on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at The Raceway at Western Fair District.
House took the sophomore chestnut gelding back into fourth as Raisealittlehill (Travis Henry) sprinted to take command of the timer. After an opening panel timed in :28.3, The Great Reset tipped out first over and moved into third on the outside. He kept chugging along through the half in :59.4 and three-quarters in 1:29.2 before he met pacesetting Raisealittlehill in the final turn. After the pair battled down the stretch, The Great Reset crossed the wire a neck in front in 2:00 over Raisealittlehill. Spun From Magic (Dan Clements) rounded out the top three.
A son of Resolve, out of the Angus Hall mare Dont Talk Back, The Great Reset is owned by House in partnership with breeder Chantal Ruijs. He earned his third victory of the season in 21 starts and fourth career triumph. As the bettors' choice, he returned a $3.80 ticket to win.
