Ruthless Hanover Returns In Philly Qualifiers
World champion Ruthless Hanover was back in action from a two-month layoff during the Tuesday, Oct. 31 qualifying session at Harrah's Philadelphia.
Reunited with Tim Tetrick, Ruthless Hanover was in a race of his own as he set fractions of :28.2, :56.1 and 1:23.4 en route to victory in 1:51.1 while expanding his margin to more than 27 lengths over three others.
Campaigned by the Cancelliere brothers -- trainer Tom and owner John -- the six-year-old Somebeachsomewhere gelding has earned five wins this year including the Joe Auger Memorial and Dave Brower Memorial in sub-1:47 record miles while banking more than $232,000 from a dozen starts.
The career winner of 21 races and more than $565,000, who competed in the 2021 TVG Championship, is eligible to this year's FanDuel edition in November and ranks seventh in the standings.
