Workin Ona Mystery First To Solve In Dayton Open
After dabbling in Grand Circuit stakes throughout his 2023 season, Workin Ona Mystery found victory for the seventh time at Dayton Raceway on the Thursday, Oct. 26 card of racing.
Starting from post six in the $25,000 Open Pace for horses and geldings, Workin Ona Mystery and driver Chris Page retreated off the car to sit fifth while Stars Align rocketed to the lead to set up a quick early tempo of :26 to the quarter and :54.3 to the half where Workin Ona Mystery made his first-over bid to three-quarters in 1:22. Workin Ona Mystery continued to advance on the outside to eventually draw off to win by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:49.3 over Sectionline Bigry and Let It Ride.
Workin Ona Mystery is owned by Burke Racing, Milton Leeman, Alan Keith and Wingfield Brothers LLC. The son of Captaintreacherous-Dragons Tale boasts more than $1.2 million in career earnings.
Workin Ona Mystery paid $4.80 to win.
