Lady All Star Poised For Autumn Series Sweep

Winter racing at Flamboro Downs

Second verse, same as the first for Lady All Star, a repeat winner in the Ontario Sired Autumn Series on Saturday, Oct. 14 at Flamboro Downs.

With Brett MacDonald back at the controls, 1-9 favourite Lady All Star once again made every call a winning one in her $8,500 division, powering through panels of :29.4, 1:00.4 and 1:31 before closing in :30.1 for the 2:01.1 score. Allstar Goldi (Scott Coulter) was 1-1/2 lengths back, just ahead of Fast Resolution (Todd Ratchford) next best in third.

Trevin Shive trains and Dr. R. James Shive of Rines Creek, N.S. owns Lady All Star, now a four-time winner in her eight-start career with $17,525 in earnings.

The Ontario Sired Autumn Series is for two- and three-year-old Ontario-sired fillies that are non-winners of $10,000 lifetime as of Sept. 30, 2023.

Team Cullen enjoyed a solid night at the office, scoring a natural hat trick during the middle of the card. Jodie Cullen trainees Going Yard (1:57; $4.20), Outlaw Imahotvixen (1:57.3; $3.60) and Totally Rigged ($1:56.3; $3.10) delivered in races five through seven, with Travis Cullen handling each of those driving assignments.
