Marloe Hanover Takes Dayton Open
Having won the likes of The Bluegrass at The Red Mile and Kindergarten Final at The Meadowlands as well as countless Open events across North America, Marloe Hanover added another Open event to her resume on Friday (Oct. 13) night at Dayton Raceway, winning the $25,000 feature pace.
Starting from post seven, Marloe Hanover pushed hard off the car to take command of the field and make every pole a winning one through fractions of :26.3, :55 and 1:22.3. She crossed the wire 1-1/2 lengths the best for a mile time of 1:50.2 over The Pantheist and High Flyin Filly.
Marloe Hanover was piloted by Sam Widger for trainer Virgil Morgan Jr. for owners Let It Ride Stables Inc, Benson Stables Inc., and Bottom Line Racing Llc.
Marloe Hanover paid $4.60 to win.
Widger enjoyed a driving hat-trick guiding Lofty Treasure (trained by Todd Luther) and Beyond Delight (Daniel Stone) to the winner's circle in addition to Marloe Hanover.
Dan Noble also had a driving hat-trick winning with Wildfire Seelster (Herman Hagerman), Glowing N The Dark (Shawn Barker II) and Morning Edition (Erv Miller).
