Hudon Injured In Northlands Accident

Driver Gerry Hudon was injured in a minor spill in the second race at Northlands Park on Friday evening

.

Starting from Post 8, Hudon’s mount Gts Danielle was gapped from the gate as the race began. Uptown Spirit, in rein to Kevin Sampson, stumbled from Post 3 and fell to the track. Hudon was unable to avoid the fallen horse and was himself unseated.

Hudon, the meet’s leading driver and trainer, was tended to by track medical personnel and was alert and talking at the scene. He was later transported by ambulance to Royal Alexandra Hospital with a probable concussion.

Please join Standardbred Canada in wishing Hudon a speedy recovery.
