Western Fair Issues Notice Regarding Access Waivers

Harness racing at The Raceway at Western Fair District

The fall racing season at The Raceway at Western Fair District will kick off next Monday, Oct. 2 and track management wishes to advise horsepeople that access waivers must be completed and signed for those racing in London, Ont. this season.

The waivers can be found on The Raceway’s webpage (under "Horsepeople’s Info") as part of The Raceway’s Track Rules. Participants are strongly urged to review these rules, which outline proper code of conduct and other procedures related to racing and the race paddock operations.

Hard copies of the waivers will be made available upon entry to the paddock on race nights and horsepeople are asked to complete and sign to be issued an access card. Horsepeople can also request a hard copy of The Raceway’s track rules at any time.

Participants are also reminded that they must have their AGCO license and Raceway access cards on them each time they are racing.

Condition sheets are now posted for opening week and the first draw of the season takes place this Wednesday morning. Horsepeople are reminded that the box will close at 9 a.m. each draw day this meet. Condition sheets can be viewed at standardbredcanada.ca under the "Racing" tab.

The Top Of The Fair dining room will be open each Friday evening as well as special event days. Reservations are now available by emailing [email protected] or through Open Table by visiting westernfairdistrict.ca/raceway.

Racing will take place each Monday, Tuesday and Friday with first race post time each day at 5:50 p.m.
