That Ole Bar Stool Takes Harrington Open
That Ole Bar Stool and Corey Callahan teamed up to win the $20,000 Open Trot in 1:56.1 on Tuesday (Aug. 29) at Harrington Raceway.
The four-year-old son of Bar Hopping rode the pocket trip behind pacesetter Manatlas before surging in deep stretch to earn his third seasonal win.
Owned by Clark Stables and Tina Clark, That Ole Bar Stool earned his 11th career tally for trainer Bobby Clark.
Allan Davis posted a driving hat trick on the card, winning a pair for his son, trainer Tyler Davis.
Trainer Clyde Francis, owner George Teague Jr. and driver Montrell Teague also teamed up for a double with a pair of Lather Up-sired two-year-olds, Hustle Up ($2.60) and Itsonlyupfromhere ($2.10). Francis also won with Shear Magic ($8.60, Tony Morgan) to complete a training triple.
Ross Wolfenden had three wins on the card, while leading trainer Joe Columbo had a double. Jim King Jr. had a training double and Corey Callahan had a driving double.
