Track Worker Killed By Loose Horse

On Sunday, March 4, a 24-year-old Remington Park track worker passed away hours after having been injured when a racehorse crashed into a gate he was trying to close earlier in the day

.

According to a report by The Oklahoman, Michael Priddy was roughly 300 yards behind the starting gate when he was struck by the gate.

“Michael Priddy was a loyal, hard working young man who was very proud of his job here, and that pride showed in the way he did his job every day,” Remington Park GM Scott Wells was quoted as saying. “Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and loved ones.”
