WDC Report With Doug McNair
After participants arrived in The Netherlands on Saturday, Aug. 12, the first leg of the 2023 World Driving Championship (WDC) kicked off at Victoria Park Wolvega on Sunday, Aug. 13. The competition was fierce, as 10 drivers from 10 countries competed for the day's top spot.
Canada's Doug McNair is off to a strong start at the 2023 WDC, as he sits in first place tied with 49 points atop the standings and holds the overall lead thanks to his two-win performance. Standardbred Canada caught up with the Canadian driver for an update after the first leg in this video sponsored by Ontario Racing.
Drivers will have a day off to travel to Gelsenkirchen on Monday, Aug. 14 and will resume racing in the championship on Tuesday, Aug. 15, Wednesday, Aug. 16, and Friday, Aug. 18.
