Windemere Best Man won the feature Winners Over Pace, honoured as the Michael Webb Memorial, on Wednesday (Aug. 9) evening at Inverness Raceway off a gate-to-wire trip. 

Zachary Mullins sent Windemere Best Man to the top from post four and the pair controlled the tempo through panels in :29.3, :59.1, and 1:30.1. Down the lane, Windemere Best Man stomped off to a 3-3/4 length victory in 1:59.1. Solid Silver (Rodney Gillis) finished second and Rotten Ronnie (Redmond Doucet) was third.

Windemere Best Man is trained by Lanny Hanscombe for owners Simon Poirier and Chad Macdonnell. The five-year-old gelded son of Malicious earned his fourth win of the season and 14th career victory.
