Zabielski Triples At Saratoga
Lisa Zabielski met three of her trainees in the winner’s circle on Sunday evening (July 30) at Saratoga Casino Hotel with Get Along posting the top performance of the trio.
Get Along (pictured above) and Jim Devaux made every pole a winning one in a $12,500 claiming allowance as they clicked out fractions in :28, :57.3 and 1:25.4. Using a last quarter in :28.1, Get Along won by 2-3/4 lengths in 1:54. Thisishowwedoit (Brett Beckwith) finished second and Father Ofthe Year (Shawn Gray) was third.
Jeff Epstein of Framingham, Massachusetts owns the five-year-old Betting Line gelding, who earned his third win in 16 starts this season and his 12th career victory. Get Along paid $3.60 to win.
Zabielski trainees Dancethebigdance N and Meadowbrook Jenny were also driven by Devaux and went wire-to-wire trips to win -- the former by four lengths in 1:55.1 and the latter by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:56.4. Dancethebigdance N paid $9.70 to win and Meadowbrook Jenny paid $3.80 for her win ticket.
Devaux capped off the card with a 1:56.2 victory in rein to Todd Dubois trainee J S Perfect Cache to round off four wins on the evening.
In the $17,000 Fillies and Mares Winners Over/Open Handicap Pace, Jordan Derue rode the pocket trip to victory with his trainee, Always Watching. Following behind La Bella Vita N (Shawn Gray) through panels in :28.1, :58 and 1:26.1, Always Watching won by a neck at the wire in 1:54.1. La Bella Vita N took second and So Diva (Chris Long) rounded out the top three.
Derue owns the five-year-old Hes Watching mare, who earned her fourth seasonal win from 16 starts and her 20th lifetime victory. Always Watching paid $14.80 to win.
Racing continues at Saratoga Casino Hotel on a Friday through Sunday schedule with a first post time of 6:45 p.m. each night.
