Hambletonian Charity Casino Night Details

Meadowlands

The harness racing community is invited once again to a casino-themed fundraiser held on Hambletonian eve at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey to benefit two of the sport’s most important charities – the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame, focused on preserving the history of the sport, and the Standardbred Retirement Foundation, assisting equine athletes after their racing days. The Hambletonian Society and the Meadowlands continue to be strong financial supporters of this event.

With an open bar and buffet dinner, the Aug. 4 event features blackjack, roulette, craps and a great night of racing. After playing casino games, players exchange their chips for raffle tickets to win great prizes including an iPad, Ring doorbell, Nespresso machine, electronics, jewelry, harness racing art, autographed baseballs and themed gift baskets. There will be a silent auction with professional sports tickets and other special items. The poker tournament grand prize is an all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas sponsored by Roberts Communications and the Meadowlands.

The important work of both institutions has traditionally enjoyed strong support. A charitable event has been part of the Hambletonian festivities since 1991 and has raised a total of $1.4 million. Major sponsors include the Meadowlands, Arden Homestead Stable, Odds On Racing and the Hambletonian Society.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for the Hambletonian Charity Casino Night at the Meadowlands on Aug. 4. Casino tickets are $125 online or $150 at the door. Poker tournament tickets are $175 online or $200 at the door. Both include an open bar and dinner. Purchase online tickets or call the Harness Racing Museum at 845-294-6330 or Standardbred Retirement Foundation at 609-738-3255. Sponsorships are still available.
