My Little Chloe Sets Record At The Track On 2
On Monday (July 24), My Little Chloe set a new track record at The Track On 2 for three-year-old pacing fillies, winning a conditioned pace in 1:54.1.
The previous track record was a mark in 1:55 shared by Oriental Express and Snowpeak.
My Little Chloe was the youngest gal in her class of nine pacers as she was joined by two aged mares to compete against the remaining field of boys. Igot Socks (Nathan Sobey) was the pacesetter for the mile and My Little Chloe (Thomas Miller) followed in his footsteps through the quarter in :27.2 and half in :57.2. Casanova (Michael Hennessy) moved first over on the outside to challenge the leading Igot Socks, leaving My Little Chloe third at the three-quarters in 1:25.3. With enough clearance in the final turn, My Little Chloe moved out and battled forward, winning by one length in 1:54.1. Igotsocks finished second and Casanova was third.
Trainer Brinsley Brooking Lutz co-owns My Little Chloe with Cory Manning and Harvey Jaeger. Unraced as a two-year-old, the Lambretta filly has had three wins in 11 starts this season, collecting her career-best time in Monday's track record mile. She paid $9.80 to win.
