If I Can Dream To New Jersey
Bulletproof Enterprises is pleased to announce that World Champion and full-brother to Western Terror, If I Can Dream, p, 2, 1:50.4f, 3, 1:49.4f ($2,038,153), will stand the 2012 breeding season at Deo Volente Farms of Flemington, New Jersey
. Kentuckiana Farms will continue to serve as syndicate manager of his breeding career.
If I Can Dream, the two-year-old World Champion and full brother to the sensational super-sire Western Terror, served over 200 premier mares during his first two seasons at stud in New York. From only four racing crops, Western Terror’s offspring have earned over $24 million, including four millionaires (Western Silk, Shacked Up, Yellow Diamond and Up the Credit).
According to Bob Brady of Kentuckiana Farms, recent developments in New Jersey, including the signed agreement between Jeff Gural and Governor Chris Christie to privatize the racetrack and to invest more than $100 million into the Meadowlands, along with the passing of the referendum to permit sports wagering at New Jersey racetracks, make the future of New Jersey racing very appealing. Brady went on to state that with the potential of alternative wagering at the Meadowlands, New Jersey affords breeders an opportunity to showcase their offspring at the Mecca of standardbred racing.
“All of these factors increase the likelihood that New Jersey-bred foals of 2013, which will first race in 2015, will be racing for very handsome purses” said Mike Gulotta of Deo Volente.
SBOA of New Jersey President Tom Luchento made it clear that his Board of Directors heartily endorsed If I Can Dream’s move to New Jersey.
“The tide has turned," said Luchento. "New Jersey will soon be back to its preeminent position in racing and breeding in North America. When you consider the positive developments in New Jersey, there is no doubt that New Jersey is coming on strong."
If I Can Dream joins Rocknroll Hanover and just two other commercial stallions in New Jersey. The competitive field is very thin putting breeders of New Jersey-bred yearlings in an ideal position to reap the benefits of an improving environment in New Jersey.
The 2012 service fee for If I Can Dream has been established at $6,000.
