Preferred Pacers To Tango In Charlottetown

The city track has a 13-dash card kicking off at 6 p.m. with the Preferred Pace headlining the card in race 12 for a $3,800 purse.

The Up The Credit pacer scored his fourth win of the season in that event and will leave from post six on Saturday evening.
Former Gold Cup and Saucer winner Time To Dance has post five in the field after winning his last start in 1:54.2 at Red Shores Summerside for trainer-driver Marc Campbell. The 45-time winner went into that race off a three-week rest and now gets back into a seven-day rotation.
Stash It Away holds down post five with Gilles Barrieau getting the catch-driving call for trainer Kevin MacLean after a fifth-place finish in the $35,000 Governor’s Plate final, presented by Summerside Chrysler Dodge, in his last start.

The "Post Time Picks" like Stash It Away on top: “Stash It Away was up against the best horses in the Maritimes on Saturday and paced a mile in 1:53.2. Slides into post three and if Barrieau can keep him close they could pull a mild upset in the feature.”
