Raymond Wilson Passes
Raymond George Wilson of Kerwood, Ont. passed away on Wednesday, July 12 in his 91st year.
He was married to his loving wife Dorothy (nee McLean) just two weeks short of 68 years. He was a lifetime resident and farmer in Kerwood, Ont., and has always been extremely interested in the harness racing industry. He owned horses in partnership with his brothers Melvin (predeceased) and Keith Wilson for a number of years but also followed their successes closely. In recent years, he was the biggest fan of his son Dean and wife Ashley's breeding operation and followed all of the horses they raised and sold. He learned how to use his laptop in his 80s specifically so he could see the entries and results daily on Standardbred Canada and to see all of the updates on deanandashleywilson.ca.
A private funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 18. He always had a special place in his heart for children. In lieu of flowers, Raymond requested that you consider donating to the Ronald McDonald House. Online condolences and donations may be left at strathroyfuneralhome.com.
