Congratulations Danny Bolton!

Standardbred Canada would like to extend congratulations to Danny Bolton of Guelph, Ont., who is the winner of SC's February Weekend Handicapping Contest

.

Bolton, along with one other contestant, selected five winners in the eight eligible contest races from tracks across the country and was deemed the winner in a blind draw.

Bolton has been a devoted racing fan for over 40 years. He started out playing the claiming game and had partial ownership in quite a few horses racing the Greenwood/Mohawk ovals, but slowed down to raise his family. He never lost interest in racing, however, and continued to enjoy the sport as a fan. A few years ago, he started helping out at a friend’s stable again, mucking stalls and jogging and training horses.

Danny has been a Fan Club member since its onset and truly loves Canadian Harness Racing. “The thing I enjoy most about going to the races is when one of my friend’s horses is racing and I paddock for him. I like to be able to be in the backstretch and cheer on a horse that I have jogged. Of course I enjoy putting a wager down too! I also like to visit the different tracks in Ontario to follow the two and three-year-olds through the Ontario Sire Stakes program.”

The Fan Club Team would like to congratulate Danny once again on winning the February Handicapping Contest! His prize includes a great Fan Club swag package and a $50 gift certificate to Flamboro Downs, Danny’s track of choice.
