Rideau Cancels Thursday Card; Mohawk Proceeds With Racing

Harness racing at Rideau Carleton Raceway

Due to the poor forecasted Air Quality Health Index in Ottawa, Ont. for this afternoon, Rideau Carleton Raceway regrets that it must cancel its card of live harness racing for Thursday, June 29.

The air quality in Ottawa is forecasted to be 'Very High Risk' at a 10+ for Thursday.

Live racing is scheduled to resume on Sunday, July 2.

With today’s air quality index for Milton, Ont. forecasted to be ‘Moderate Risk’ at 4 and consistent with the Alcohol Gaming Commission of Ontario's air quality guidelines, Woodbine Entertainment has confirmed it will be proceeding with live harness racing on Thursday evening at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Post time for this evening’s card is 7 p.m.

Woodbine will continue to monitor the weather and forecast over the coming days and remain in communication with the Central Ontario Standardbred Associate. Updates will be provided as required.
