D Gs Tinkerbell and Miss Sand Creek each put forth their best efforts to date scoring wins in the second leg of the Damsel Series on Friday evening at Woodbine Racetrack

. The series is for four and five-year-old pacing mares that had earned less than $150,000 lifetime by the end of last year.

In the first $40,000 division, D Gs Tinkerbell and Luc Ouellette enjoyed a perfect pocket trip en route to scoring the victory in a career-best 1:52.2.

Post time favourite Ole Miss (Billy Davis, Jr.) was on the engine early as she marched to the opening station in a quick :25.2. Ole Miss would receive no pressure from her nine rivals as she passed the midway point in :55.4 and three-quarters in 1:24.3.

Turning for home, Ole Miss was still in command, but began to tire late in the stretch at Ouellette and D Gs Tinkerbell angled to the outside and took over command to win by three-quarters of a length. Synergy Seelster (Doug McNair) came from off-the-pace to finish second with Ole Miss settling for third over her stablemate, first leg winner Jolting Kate (Scott Zeron). Other first leg winners Oceans Motion (Jady Jamieson) and Bee Fullof Steinam (Paul MacDonell) finished fifth eighth, respectively.

The Blizzard Series champion and HorsePlayer Interative Series runner-up is trained by Richard Moreau for owners Daniel Surprenant and Guylaine Fortin of Saint-Valentin, Que. The four-year-old daughter of Cambest increased her bankroll to $148,161. She paid $9 for the win.

In the second division, the Paul MacDonell-driven Miss Sand Creek used front end tactics to win in lifetime-best 1:52.4 clocking.

Jamaica Hanover (Billy Davis, Jr.) quickly made the front off the gate and led her eight rivals past the opening panel in :27. Marching towards the half, MacDonell angled Miss Sand Creek out from fifth and brushed past Jamaica Hanover at the half in :57.2.

Miss Sand Creek led her rivals past three-quarters in 1:25.2 before extending her lead to two and a three-quarter lengths for the triumph. Jamaica Hanover stayed for second over post time favourite Honey Do Jigtime (Jody Jamieson).

Miss Sand Creek is trained by Gerald Lilley, who co-owns with Ohio's Ed Mullinax. The five-year-old daughter of Red River Hanover now has career earnings totalling $135,030. She paid $15.90 for the win.
