Noneyabizzness Wires Preferred Foes At Clinton
Noneyabizzness got down to business right from the get-go and led at every call en route to victory in Sunday's $6,000 Preferred 3 Handicap Pace at Clinton Raceway.
Driven by Travis Henry, Noneyabizzness flashed early speed as he blasted to command from post three and set fractions of :27.2, :56.3 and 1:26 through the 1:55.3 mile. Sent postward as the 5-1 third choice in the field of seven, he paid $13.30 to win.
The favoured Pembrook Legacy N and Ys Delight rallied three-wide around the parked-from-the-start Hollys Treasure on the backstretch the final time and duked it out down the lane for the runner-up honours. Pembrook Legacy N edged out Ys Delight in the photo for place as they finished 1-1/4 lengths behind the winner.
Trained by Kevin Bodz, Noneyabizzness earned his fourth win from 22 starts in his six-year-old campaign. The homebred Shadow Play-Simply Lucky gelding now has 10 career wins and more than $70,000 in earnings for owners Mary and Leonard Christopher.
As part of a Sunday driving grand slam, Tyler Borth swept a pair of $7,200 Pop-Up Claiming Series finals for pacers with Timewaitsonnoone ($2.80) defeating the fillies and mares in 1:59 for trainer George McClure and Sunseeker ($2.10) completing a sweep of the male division with a 2:00.1 triumph in his return to the Cameron McQueen stable (although he was claimed again here). The series was for $7,000 claimers that were non-winners of a race in 2023 or $2,500 last five starts as of June 5.
