Harrington Open Goes To Itsrockandroll A
Elizabeth and Bret Brittingham's Itsrockandroll A was a 1:52 winner for driver Allan Davis in Monday’s $20,000 Open at Harrington Raceway.
The eight-year-old A Rocknroll Dance gelding pulled from the pocket near the three-quarters, then cleared pacesetter
Trained by Don Brittingham, Itsrockandroll A earned his third win of the season from 10 starts. He paid $5.80 to win.
Driver Jason Thompson was injured in the fourth race when his mount Tru Lou got rough gaited shortly after the start and fell. Thompson was taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation for an apparent arm injury. Tru Lou appeared to avoid any significant injuries.
Allan Davis and Art Stafford Jr. each had thee wins on the card.
A carryover of $2,599 in the Pick 5 will await bettors for the Tuesday, June 6 program. The Pick 5 is a 50-cent base wager and starts in race two nightly.
Live harness racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
