The son of Il Sogno Dream-B Cor Tanya won by three lengths over Its A Long Story in 1:58.3. Impressive Dude tagged along to grab the show dough in the six-horse affair. Wendy Warren-Timpano and Denise Carr share ownership on the career winner of $29,950.
Delightful Leader turned a two-hole trip into a 1:55.3 victory in the first division for pacers. J Harris engineered the winning trip for the Melissa Lamoureux trainee. Sent off as the even-money favourite, Delightful Leader drew away late to win by 1-1/4 lengths over Xtra Cheese. Sharky came on late to nab the show dough in the $8,600 affair. The son of Bettors Delight-Bad As Leader, who is owned by 8113564 Canada Ltd, has banked over $52,000 to date.
Scribblers was a popular in the other pacing division for the team of driver Jason Ryan and trainer Paul Reid. The son of Sportswriter-Gypsy Talent led the group through panels of :28.4, :59.1 and 1:27.3 before sprinting home in :28.4 to win by 5-1/4 lengths over Briggs in 1:56.2. Speak Of War rounded out the Trifecta ticket. The Canam Crew of Port Perry, Ont. owns the career winner of $47,500.
