Bettor Deal Bags London Feature
Trainer-driver Ondrej Gois gathered in pacesetter Gimmie A Corona with his pupil Bettor Deal to take the $8,600 featured pace on Tuesday night (May 23) at The Raceway at Western Fair District.
Gimmie A Corona cleared control from Post 7 while Gois sent Bettor Deal forward and secured the pocket to a :27.4 first quarter. J M Outspoken moved out of fifth to make a first-over push through a :58.1 half, but only made slight gains to the backstretch. Gois had room to make his attack from the pocket with Bettor Deal and started the assault at three-quarters, timed in 1:28. Bettor Deal dug into Gimmie A Corona through the final turn and downed her with ease to then extend to a 2-3/4-length win in a lifetime-best 1:57.1. J M Outspoken settled for third and Life Speaks closed for fourth.
Gino Toscani owns Bettor Deal, a four-year-old daughter of Bettors Delight who won her fifth race from 33 starts and has now earned $33,569. She paid $15.70 to win.
