Five Straight For Dreydl Hanover
Raphael Bourassa trainee Dreydl Hanover has started another win streak and continued dominance over the $7,000 claiming class with his fifth straight victory when winning at Hiawatha Horse Park on Saturday night (May 20).
Driver Scott Wray settled Dreydl Hanover into third through a :28.3 first quarter and waited through a :58 half and 1:27.2 three-quarters while first-over Lyons Image bit into pacesetter Favaro Seelster through the mile. Once Lyons Image dropped anchor, opportunity rose for Wray to fire with the 1-2 favourite and Dreydl Hanover followed through to a three-quarter-length win in 1:57.3.
Francois Morin owns Dreydl Hanover, a 13-year-old gelding by Cams Card Shark. The veteran now has 41 wins on his belt from 288 starts and earnings of $277,957. This five-race win streak comes just a few months after Dreydl Hanover nailed six in a row from the end of Nov. 2022 through January of this year. In his last 16 starts, Dreydl Hanover has visited the winner’s circle 13 times.
