Silly But Serious Gets Down To Business

Silly But Serious winning at The Meadows

Silly But Serious had little trouble overcoming post eight, romping to her third straight victory in Thursday’s feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,500 filly & mare claiming handicap pace.

Although Silly But Serious was parked for most of the opening panel, she was untouchable once she crossed over for Dave Palone. The six-year-old daughter of Captaintreacherous-I Need Hotstuff faced no serious challenges and drew off to score by 4-1/4 lengths in 1:52.3. Twin B Hello and Always A Z Tam rounded out the ticket.

Brandon Presto trains Silly But Serious, who now boasts a career bankroll of $128,906, for Ameer Najor. It was one of four wins for Palone on the 12-race card.

Live harness racing at The Meadows continues Friday when the 12-race program features a $608.75 carryover in the Pick 5 (Race 8). First post is 12:45 p.m.
