So Frisky Repeats In London
Odds-on favourite So Frisky landed a repeat victory in the $12,000 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace on Wednesday night (April 12) at The Raceway at Western Fair District.
Leaving from post seven, So Frisky found position in fourth as Exotic Dragon pushed from the pegs to the lead before a :28.1 first quarter. The pace slowed towards a :58 half, prompting driver Colin Kelly to launch So Frisky off the pegs and mount a first-over challenge on the second circuit. So Frisky pressed Exotic Dragon through three-quarters in 1:25.2 and persisted through the final turn to eventually down the pacesetter late and win by a half length in 1:54.3. Escape The House, off a pocket trip, finished third and Saulsbrook Jessie took fourth.
Anita Ouellette trains So Frisky, a seven-year-old mare by Dali, for owner Luc Ouellette Incorporated. So Frisky won her 33rd race from 114 starts and has now earned $259,053. She paid $3.60 to win.
