Logan Park Secures Free For All Victory At Mohawk
Once Logan Park cleared to the front in the Free For All Trot at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Monday evening (April 10), he never looked back and took home the winner's share of the $48,000 purse.
The field of eight lined up across the gate as the bettors focused their attention on Logan Park and Doug McNair from post seven. The duo rocketed off the gate and took charge of the tempo after a :28.2 opening panel. Logan Park led the field single file through the half in :57.3 and three-quarters in 1:25.1. Unopposed, Logan Park steered home to a 1-1/2 length victory in 1:52.3. HP Mama B (Sylvain Filion) was second and Patriarch Hanover (Tyler Jones) rounded out the triactor.
Logan Park is a five-year-old gelded son of Archangel. Kyle Fellows trains the winner for Outofthepark Stable, Reg Higgs and Arpad Szabo. Logan Park has had 46 career starts with 14 wins, five seconds and four thirds to go along with $760,222 in lifetime earnings. Both starts of 2023 have been winning ones for the gelding, putting his earnings at the start of the season at an even $40,000.
