Ole Miss drew away from her foes after a quarter-pole move and cruised to victory in Friday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows

Making her debut in the top distaff pace after two straight wins in conditioned races, Ole Miss took the point for Dave Palone after getting away second and drew off by three lengths before settling for a one and a quarter length triumph over the rallying Crossthreaded. Autumn Magic was third. The time for the mile was 1:52.2.
Ron Burke trains Ole Miss, a four-year-old daughter of Art Major-Biloxi who soared over $100,000 in career earnings, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, Frank Baldachino and Larry Karr.
Palone and Burke each enjoyed a five-bagger on the 15-race card.
