So Frisky First In London Feature
Anita Ouellette trainee So Frisky returned to The Raceway at Western Fair District for the first time in a month and returned a winner in the $12,000 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace on Wednesday night (April 5).
Driver Colin Kelly cleared control with So Frisky out of post six and past a :27.3 first quarter, pocketing Saulsbrook Jessie to the second turn. So Frisky then strolled through a :57 half before accelerating into the backstretch and opening a three-length lead to three-quarters in 1:25.2. Expanding her advantage to five lengths off the bottom turn, So Frisky coasted home a 2-1/2-length winner in 1:55.3 with Born A Dragon rallying to take second. Saulsbrook Jessie gave chase in third and Randomirogeo finished fourth.
So Frisky, a seven-year-old mare by Dali, competes for owner Luc Ouellette Incorporated. She won her 32nd race from 113 starts and has now banked $253,053. She paid $5.10 to win.
