Noble Notches Six, Wins Open With Let It Ride N
Let It Ride N sped to his third consecutive Open Handicap victory in the $28,000 weekly pacing feature at Miami Valley on Sunday (April 2), bolstering his standing as one on the top five purse earners in North America thus far in 2023.
Driver Dan Noble dropped in fourth from his assigned outside post position prior to the :26.2 opening quarter. The winning 10-year-old improved his position to second over in third before reaching the halfway point in :55. During a :26.3 third panel, Let It Ride N assumed command before tacking on a :27.4 final quarter to complete the 1:49.2 win. With his fifth seasonal win, the son of Rock N Roll Heaven reached the $100,000 earnings plateau during the yet young season.
Rollinlikethunder finished a non-threatening second, while General Idea secured the show dough.
Mike Hitchcock trains Let It Ride N for William Hartt and the Enzed Racing Stable. The winner paid $5.
The victory was one of six on the program for Noble. He also won with Stayingwiththewind ($3), Stonecold Cruiser ($5.20), Armabluechipboy N ($3.80), BR Kruser ($4.20) and Somebeachsomefra ($7).
Austin Hanners registered a grand slam on the Sunday program. His winners were Velocity Poprocks ($31.80), Tre Cruz ($10.80), Chronicle ($4.20) and La Joya ($6.40).
