Lone Wolf Jake Draws Clear In Meadows Feature
Hammered to 1-5, Lone Wolf Jake endured a demanding opening panel but drew off late to capture Wednesday’s (Jan. 25) co-feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $10,900 conditioned pace.
Lone Wolf Jake was parked three wide to the lead before crossing over for Ronnie Wrenn Jr. in a swift :27.2 in the slop. Once on the point, the four-year-old A Rocknroll Dance-Half Past Seven was unthreatened, defeating the pocket-sitting TSM Tristan T by 4-1/2 lengths in a career-best 1:55. Del Cache was a rallying third.
Christen Pantaleano trains Lone Wolf Jake for J.C. Ratliff, Rocky Ratliff and Ayers Ratliff.
In Wednesday’s companion feature, a $10,900 conditioned trot, Killjoy notched a front-end victory in a career-fastest 1:59.1 for Brady Brown, trainer Dirk Simpson and owner Dirk Simpson Stable Inc. Angie’s Valentine and Importer Exporter completed the ticket.
Dave Palone collected four wins on the 13-race card while Simpson and Wrenn each enjoyed a triple.
Live racing at The Meadows continues Thursday when the 13-race program features a $1,497.26 carryover in the Early Pentafecta (Race 4). First post is 12:45 p.m. (EST).
