After clearing the lead from post seven, Radio Lab kept plugging to take the $10,000 featured trot at Flamboro Downs on Sunday night (Jan. 22).

Driver Ed Hensley sent the four-year-old Crazed gelding for the lead and raced parked through a :27.4 first quarter before crossing over to the top. Past a :56.2 half, Radio Lab endured a first-over challenge from Lucas NL up the backstretch and to three-quarters in 1:26, but turned him away around the final turn. Magnificent Seven mounted a late challenge in the lane, but Radio Lab hit the finish a half-length better to stop the clock in 1:57.1. Lucas NL finished third with Caviars Triumph fourth.

Ed Hensley co-owns Radio Lab with trainer Ashleigh Hensley. The trotter won his fifth race from 29 starts and has now earned $68,140. He paid $15.60 to win.
